Dr. Cindy Pikus has been treating people with eating disorders and their families for more than 25 years. She has worked at all levels of care (inpatient, residential, PHP, and outpatient) and has served as clinical director in multiple eating disorder programs. She has extensive experience in program development, leading interdisciplinary treatment teams and providing clinical supervision. She has also worked extensively with individuals experiencing mood or anxiety disorders or difficulties with emotion regulation.

Dr. Pikus completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at UCLA and post-graduate training at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital. She is broadly trained in cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic treatment models and has completed advanced training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has received the Certified Eating Disorder Specialist designation from the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) and is an iaedp-Approved Consultant.

Dr. Pikus has presented at national conferences and taught continuing education workshops on eating disorders. She provides supervision, consultation and training to CEBT staff and also provides training and ongoing consultation to clinicians outside the practice on the assessment and treatment of eating disorders.

Dr. Pikus is based in New Jersey and offers online sessions for individuals and families living in New Jersey, New York, California or in any PSYPACT-participating state (psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap).
